Keys to buildings and rooms are issued on a very limited basis.

In most cases, the doors to enter the buildings and the inside doors to the research labs have electronics keypads or a card swipe system. As a general rule, office keys are no longer needed by any students. If a key is needed to access a building or room, fill out the Request Form and explain your need for a key in the Additional Information field.

All keys remain the property of the University of Florida and must be returned to the Facilities Office on your departure. You are responsible for the security of any keys issued to you. DO NOT duplicate any keys. Duplicates can be obtained through the proper channels at the University.
